Sikhism Becoming Global Religion


India’s newspaper The Tribune reports on the 13th Bhai Chanan Singh Memorial lecture delivered by Mark Juergensmeyer, the director of the Orfalea Center for Global and International Studies and professor of sociology.  In his lecture, Juergensmeyer spoke of the challenges ahead for Sikhism, like determining the core values versus the cultural values of the religion, as 30 percent of Sikhs live outside of Punjab.
